Cookie Sale
Girl Scouts and cookies share a rich history. While recipes and box designs have changed, selling cookies remains an important part of today's Girl Scout program. The annual Girl Scout Cookie Program takes places January-March each year. With eight varieties of tasty treats, these iconic favorites help to fund Girl Scout troop programs for the entire year. The activity of selling cookies is directly related to our purpose of helping all girls realize their full potential and become strong, confident, and resourceful citizens.
Girls learn fiscal responsibility: From making change to tracking revenues, girls practice the basics of money management and learn how to earn what they spend and stay on budget.
Through the Girl Scout Cookie Program girls develop five essential skills:
- Goal setting
- Decision making
- Money management
- People skills
- Business Ethics
Girl Scouts will be out in the community with cookies in hand from January until March throughout central and western Massachusetts. To find a cookie booth sale in your area, click here.
All proceeds from the sale of Girl Scout cookies benefit girls in the community in which the cookies are sold.

In addition to the above recognitions, girls will earn Cookie Credits at the highest box level sold.
Cookie Sale
Troops may elect to earn a higher level of troop proceeds per box INSTEAD of earning girl recognitions and Cookie Credits. Be sure to attend your troop's cookie planning meeting to be a part of the recognition and proceeds discussion.
